What is NETFA?
The National Exchange Traded Funds Association ("NETFA") is an industry group composed of firms that issue, sponsor, or are involved in the Exchanged Traded Funds ("ETFs") industry.
What is an Etf?
- ETFs are commingled investment funds that are listed & traded on a recognized securities exchange.
- ETFs publish an end of day Net Asset Value ("NAV") and a inter-day indicative NAV.
- ETFs permit the creation or redemption of shares at NAV, normally on a daily basis.
- ETFs own portfolio of investments suitably related to the ETF's stated investment objectives.
How big is the ETF Market?
There are 1,400+ ETFs with $1.2 trillion in assets in the US as of 2012.
